No. PathUs is intentionally not a “pure AI” solution. The foundation of our platform is the expertise of seasoned college admissions counselors, who define the underlying logic: which tasks matter, in what order, and under what conditions. Our AI then applies this logic to each student’s situation, adapts it over time, and surfaces the right next steps. This hybrid model ensures that guidance remains both personalized and firmly anchored in real-world professional experience.
Students complete an onboarding questionnaire about their academic profile, activities, preferences, and target schools. PathUs then generates a personalized application roadmap with concrete tasks and deadlines. As students mark tasks complete or adjust their plans, the system updates the roadmap, highlights upcoming priorities, and recommends when to seek additional support from mentors or counselors. Along the student's application journey, PathUs offers various AI tools to assist the student in each step of their roadmap.
PathUs uses a subscription model. Families pay an annual fee for access to the expert-built, AI-personalized application system, with optional higher-touch tiers for additional support. Schools and districts can license PathUs to provide the platform to their students at scale. Please contact us for current pricing and partnership options.
